KTunerECU Traction Control

KTunerECU Traction Control

The KTunerECU R1 Board comes with two speed inputs that can be used for front/rear traction control. This allows the unit, once configured, to calculate slip percentage and allows the ECU to apply an ignition adjustment when the conditions are met. Since the conditions include Speed 2 as a window item Speed 1 should be connected to front wheel and Speed 2 should be connected to rear wheel, if front wheel drive. This would be reversed if rear wheel drive.

Ignition values should be negative to retard timing. When all conditional window values have been met this ignition adjustment will be applied based on slip percentage. Vehicles will react differently to this method of retarding timing, so it's best to find what works for your specific vehicle in order to tame traction loss.
