Real-Time Tuning Options

On select platforms KTuner allows some of the settings to be adjusted in real-time while a laptop is connected.

Real-Time Settings:

Adjusting these settings in real-time is simple. When you connect to the unit or key on your settings and any real-time maps will be uploaded to the ECU if you have a calibration open.

If real-time settings are available when you connect to your ECU the connection status will change to "Uploading Maps" while maps and settings are being uploaded. It will then return to a normal status such as "Connected" or "Logging" depending on the ECU's readiness.

Real-Time Maps:

You can put ignition, fuel, and cam angle maps into real-time mode for NA applications. For boosted applications you can put either low cam maps or high cam maps into real-time mode. For instance you would select low cam real-time mode, reflash, tune the low cam maps, select high cam real-time mode, reflash, tune the high cam maps, and then finally disable real- time mode for the tuning maps and reflash the final tune.

*** Very important. Once you’ve adjusted settings or maps to your liking you will always need to reflash the ECU to finalize the settings internally so they are there even without the laptop hooked up.

While connected to the ECU the Live Status will read one of the following:

While the Live Status reads "Live Settings" or "Live" you will see a green box next to any settings or maps that can be altered in real-time.

Alternatively if the setting has a red box next to it the setting cannot be altered in real-time.

Below is an example of what you'll see in a parameter area.
