OBD II not powering on V2 Unit

Post by zckwhte »

Hey guys,

I am having a problem with my V2 unit not being powered on when connected to the OBD II. It will only turn on when I connect the other cable to my laptop or USB port in the car. The unit still receives data from the OBD II when the engine is running like rpm’s and and whatever options I have set up on the unit. I do have the can gateway option enabled as I do have a 2018 Accord 2.0T. I have replaced the cable that goes to the OBD II from twostepperformance.com in case I had damaged the cord. I haven’t had any luck with either of those things. I also checked the OBD II port with a digital multimeter and it says 12 volts and I read that the device only needs 4.3 volts or higher.

Was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and they found a fix? Please help :)
