Disabling immobilizer on 05-06 ECU?
Disabling immobilizer on 05-06 ECU?
Does this program have the capability to delete the immobilizer? There are no dealers near me and I am no where near ready to tune, but my immobilizer does not recognize my ECU and I would like to deactivate it while running the stock map for now. Is this possible?
Re: Disabling immobilizer on 05-06 ECU?
Yes, you can send it in for a reflash that will disable the immobilizer. This will leave the green light flashing on the dash, if that's actually the problem you're having.
Since it is a reflash you may as well opt for the tuned maps with it. There will be no difference in price.

we are able to disable or keep activate the Immobilizer.
when the reflash ecu is the same as the original from the car, I keep the immobilizer activate

I am located in So Cal and there are no tuners locally as of yet, so for now, I will have to opt for the reflash. How do I make sure it is disabled? I don't mind if the key blinks, but my car currently won't start due to the immobilizer and I am looking for the most cost effective way to get it back up and running.
Re: Disabling immobilizer on 05-06 ECU?
Tell the dealer you choose that you need it disabled. It's that simple.

And just to be sure, there are no dealers in So Cal as of yet, correct?
Re: Disabling immobilizer on 05-06 ECU?
Can the immobilizer be disabled on a stock ecu without doing a reflash, what if I just want to disable immobilizer and use the stock ecu "as is" can you do that? If so, how much. I have a stock ecu from another RSX I want to use, that's why i'm asking...
Re: Disabling immobilizer on 05-06 ECU?
It's enabled on a stock ECU. You'd either need an immobilizer bypass box or a reflash to change that.
