VTEC not working

I have a 2005 k24a2(2005 tsx) turbo Acura RSX type s. It’s not popping any engine codes but the vtec isn’t working. I have the in ecu ktuner chip. The car runs nice other than no vtec.

As mentioned in email check that the VTS option isn't disabled.

Replaced o2 sensor and had knock code coming up, knock sensor wiring was ripped out so that’s probably what was causing it.

My mechanic says “It works, and then sometimes it doesn't and after it doesn't, you have to reset the ecu and then it works again....until it doesn't.”

Also there’s no codes popping

Excellent that you've verified it can be operational after a reset. Now track down the issue that's causing the ECU to stop activating it.

If everything was operational and within the programmed bounds it would be repeatable every single time. The code and settings do not change once you flash them in unless you are connected with a laptop that has a tune open with live settings active.

Replaced the vvt solenoid and vvt switch. Pops p2646 code. Still doing same thing.

So it is throwing a code and now you know what to look for.
