K24a2 swapped RSX ECT/Fan Output

Post by daje00 »

Hello, I recently swapped a 2008 K24a2 into my RSX. I've noticed that my fan doesn't turn on now until the ECT reads 214F and turns off at 202F. Is this too hot to turn on, my temp gauge shows a normal range. My old k20 with the same fan switch turned on at 202F. I have the fan output settings in ktuner as 1832 for both on and off. Should i switch them specific temps eg. 195 on and 180 off? That's what i have seen my tuner do to other vehicles. Thanks.

If it's wired up you can change the temperature to activate the FAN earlier if you wish. We can't make suggestions on a temperature for your setup and environment.

Ok thanks, I guess the more important question should be is 214 degrees too hot for the engine, is that considered overheating? If I didn't have my laptop plugged in I wouldn't have even noticed anything, the temp gauge was where it's always been.
