basemap #3 with cams?
I have i/H/e, rbc, hmg and ktuner end user with basemap #3. I was going to get tune, but decided that i want to get some cams first. Im deciding on Kelford 179a or Drag Cartel drop in cams? Is it ok and safe to run either cams with the basemap #3 or i should get tune? If its unsafe for my motor ill probably buy the cams and wait till i get tune.

If you add cams you'll likely need a tune to compensate for the differences.

ok i see.. would it be ok to drive with the basemap #3 to get tune? i have to drive maybe 4 hrs to my nearest tune shop. Considering the kelford 179a and Drag Cartel drop in cams, which one do you prefer?

Generally the low cam profiles are very similar and you'll be in closed loop. Stay out of VTEC, WOT, and high RPM.
