Ktuner V1 Compatibility

Post by DarkStallion »

Hi there,

I recently purchased a second hand Sprintex Supercharger kit for the GE Honda Fit / Jazz Platform, along with the kit seller also provided an unlocked Ktuner V1 unit with a tune for the vehicle it was previously installed to on a USB drive.

What I'd like to know is if I'm able to use the unit to tune my vehicle as the ECU model is not on the compatible list, however, neither is the ECU model for the car the kit was previously on, so I'm unsure if you are able to unlock particular ECU models where required or something of that nature which seems to have been done with the previous owners vehicle.

The ECU model of the previous owners Car which had the kit installed and tuned with Ktuner was 37820-RB7-Q12 which was an 09 Honda Jazz Manual transmission.

The ECU model of my vehicle is 37820-RB7–Q83 and it is an Australian delivered 2013 Honda Jazz Vibe-S (Automatic with paddle shift).

Are you able to confirm it its possible to tune my vehicles ECU with the v1 Ktuner or I'm out of luck?

We do not have your ECU in the software at this point. A tune for a different ECU will not work, so you'd need to have it custom tuned if that point arrives.

Thanks for your response,

That's the main question , the 37820-RB7–Q83 ECU in my vehicle will it be possible to modify / tune the ECU? I dont intend on using the existing tune i have for the 37820-RB7-Q12 ECU.

Or if i wanted to use the V1 Ktuner a vehicle matching those on the compatible list would be required?

Any ECU listed as supported can be used, except for Type-R.

I think you've misunderstood my point.

37820-RB7-Q12 is not on the supported list, but was able to have a tune applied to it.

Can whatever method was used to tune 37820-RB7-Q12 be applied to allow 37820-RB7–Q83 to be tuned?

We had to add support to a beta and never received confirmation from the customer.

Sure, but with regards to my question, can this method that was used to add support for 37820-RB7-Q12 be applied to allow 37820-RB7–Q83 to be tuned?

I just need to know a definitive yes or no, is there anyway regardless of the method for me to tune 37820-RB7–Q83 with the v1 Ktuner that i have sitting here?

We would have to add support. You'd be waiting a long while.

Well with that basically a dead end, if I were to obtain another vehicle with a matching 37820-RB7-Q12 ECU would i be able to still use that old Beta version you mentioned to apply a tune to it?
