Will higher ambient temperatures raise my Knock Control?

Hi!
I've got a turbo '09 fit 5MT here in Texas.

Normally my knock control in the morning and late evening stays below .70 in the city and around .50 on the highway. (Doesn't seem to get any lower than that). That's around 85 - 90 degrees.

However in the afternoon and early evening the knock control stays between 1.00 and 1.30. The temp outside is usually 100 - 110 on the road.

Those temps are ambient temperature, not IAT.

Given my driving habits are the same and the tune is the same, could it be the ambient and IAT temperature that's raising my knock control?

I'm checking my logs and I'm not getting any abnormal engine knock or short term fuel trims that are drastically different between the temperatures.

I was able to get the knock control down in the hotter temperature but I had to pull four degrees of timing out across the entire boost table.

Thank you!
- Jason

Knock control will vary with conditions. You have an IAT ignition section that can aid you with this scenario.
