R18 06-11 Civic (EU) Basemap

Post by IB1984 »

Hi, the Basemap for the EU R18 Civic 07 ( 37820-RSA-G33 ) have no AFR Mapping to see or to change.
To Change the I-Vtec activate Area it gives no Options.
The O2 Sensor after the Cat must disabled, cause the Engine Light is coming on, not every times but sometimes ( with an other Tune before Lock to K-Tuner the O2 Sensor was delete and it gives no Problems )

How can i fix the Problem with the O2 Sensor ? I have a 200 Cell Catalysator that works great. I think the Limits of the Sensor in the Software are to close.

I drive a 200 cell Catalysator, an 2,5" Exhaust with stock Motor
next Month there comes Skunk2Stage2 Camshaft and Brian Crower Valve Springs

Are there other Mappings for the R18 Civic available?
I see only the Factory RSA Manual Base Calibration

OBD2 Monitors ( Uncheck to Disable ) is not working, i cant uncheck anything in V1.2

You actually do have MAF scaling, MAF.Fuel, and WOT Enrichment maps to alter AFR right in the software.

We don't have this application listed as supported on our website. It's a custom tuning platform we have for dealer testing, so if you don't any disables currently that's why.

Hi,

we just did a "tune" of 2008 Civic FD EU (JDM) with R18A1 engine... afraid to say that support for 37820-RNA ecu's with KTuner is really bad to none. I mean, it will get recognised and you can select base map, but locked almost everything except MAF. Also, it seems that there is no interest in KTuner to add more support for EU customers. We dont have Si here or FD2, but we do have R18. Also, my tuner tried to contact them for more info and they got nothing from their support.

I have NA bolt ons on this engine like Skunk2 camshaft, WeaponR intake manifold, NST pulleys, custom 200 cell inox 2.5" exhaust. Got 156hp on Dynomite dyno, which was less than expected. Probably the most gain came from new camshaft, then maybe exhaust a bit and pulleys a bit. If you won't go into forced induction then I don't think that you need different intake manifold, CAI etc.

We also tried FN2 injectors (310cc) as we expected to hit stock limits and there's little in this SW to make it work as it should, no extra gains whatsoever. We went back to stock ones.

If I'd have a chance I'd try to get HONDATA to test connectivity with machine ECU and check there first or I'd get other ECU.

Certainly wouldn't go for K-Tuner in current state right now as you won't get help with it. Except if they will add more support, but again, from their response I've got so far, this is highly doubtfull...

I asked you or whoever was emailing for a file and you never sent it. Your issue could have been solved, had you followed simple directions.

A more experienced KTuner tuner can make a proper tune with all the parameters available. Dyno number only means something if you measured a full stock at the same time to see the exact gain.
Adding parts and expecting it all will add some +HP to the final number will never work. Some part only give you extra in midrange and not up top.

I Can change these Tables:
Ignition
Knock Limit
Knock Retard
WOT Enrichment
WOT Enrichment Cat Heating
Cranking Fuel
DBW Final

what i miss is the Base Fuel Table to tweaking it.

I Changed WOT Enrichment to 11,6:1 by TP: 100%, but the AFR Digital Gauge let me see that ist goes by TP: 100%
to AFR 12.4:1 all the rpm at 6000 RPM it goes then to the 11,6:1 ( Lambda 0,86 by Fuel 98 Oktan ) and go straight to the rpm limiter
In Germany the idle rpm must go lambda 1,0 . I Will set it Close Loop from 0 to 2000rpm and above open loop.

with the Base Fuel Table it can be easyer.

I will learn how to do it with the given Options.
I think i must raise the AFM Fuel in MAF Scaling
at the moment by stock Motor R18A2 AFM Fuel is by
mg/stk 0 40 50 70 100 120 300 750
ms 0 1,046 1,194 1,646 2,394 2,904 7,444 19,626

But how to raise up that between 2000 rpm and 7100 rpm limitter ist goes by TP:100% to AFR 11,6:1 ( Lambda 0,86 ), momently 12,4 and about 6000rpm 11,6

The Help Page is not Helping me.

To let the Engine Warning Sign not show up, i chanched the Lambda Range from 14,7 to 14,4 while Lambda 1,0 is around 14,4:1 AFR by 98 Oktan Fuel and it works at all rpm.
And in WOT Map Based Engagement i set the mBar at 3000 and higher to 250

OBD2 Monitor Disable
Catalyst Monitor and Oxygen Sensor Monitors were great but at this time it is not available.

How to raise up that Full Throttle is going all the way 11,6:1 AFR ( The Motor works Stock up to 0,4 bar without hardware chanchings. In Thailand 1 Person Changed the Pistons rest Stock an have 1,3 bar and 450 whp )
Also 11,6:1 AFR in N/A Stock Motor is no Problem . No one must give Warranties cause the changings is done by the owner self, when anything Breaks its the Problem from the Owner, not any other like KTuner.

I mailed many times with Hondata, they not Supporting the R18 EU Civic R18A2 and say´s their Software doesnt work whith the EU R18

If the MAF scale is correct your AFR will be very close to AFR.CMD. You can change AFR.CMD via the WOT Enrichment tables. If it's not close you need to adjust the MAF scale. If you're switching injectors that's when you'd change MAF.Fuel.

WOT is all set to 11,6 Hi and Low Cam, but comanded shows up to 6000 rpm is 12,4 and over 6000 is commanded 11,6.
Commanded AFR and actually AFR is nearly the same.
The Maf Scale is Oem Maf Sensor Scale from Base Map

What i must adjust, AFM Fuel or AFM Flow? by stock injectors

If you're trying to change the 11.6 see the WOT Enrichment target table and make those changes. If your AFR and AFR.CMD are almost the same don't adjust MAF.fuel or MAF Scale.

When WOT Enrichment sets 11,6 the command gauge show 12,4 and the afr is 12,4 i think it´s not right.
above 6000 rpm wot enrichment table sets 11,6 , command gauge shows 11,6 and actual is then 11,6

i think
when WOT Enrichment Commanded 11,6 , the Command Gauge must show 11,6 and the actual afr must be nearly 11,6

am i right ?
