Pops from exhaust

Hey! Just like some people on here, I just got the ktuner v1.2 yesterday and I’m also new to this but I’ve been running my 2014 i4 cvt with a short ram intake and tsudo catback exhaust but without the mufflers. When I drive in S mode I get some pops and now after I tuned my car, I saw a couple of videos showing that if you make the ignition starting from 2k rpms all the way to max and set it to a negative number you get loud pops from the exhaust and so I tried it and I’ve even driving with it for 2 days like that and I was wonder if that is a problem in the long term. Also does making the ignition a negative number mean that I’m cutting spark?
