External Wideband

Post by cm1872 »

Hello!
Is there any way to connect an external wideband like AEM UEGO in the 8th gen civics so I can use it as lamda overlay for tuning? I tried connecting it to the ELD but it didn't work!
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

There's not currently. Those settings are for the KTunerECU applications.

Thanks for the reply!
Maybe if I could connect it to the pins of the factory wideband (AFS+ and AFS-) and then adjust the volts - afr list ?
Do you think that may work?
Thanks!!

Definitely not. The ECU is specifically setup and designed to run the factory sensor only. The factory sensor is a wideband already.

I only wanted to use the AEM just for tuning. Then I would reconnect the stock wideband for normal operations like closed loop etc.
The factory sensor is indeed a wideband but it does not work properly in boost!
While in boost I get way richer afr with the oem wideband compared to the AEM and it gives me big differences in the % difference on the lamda overlay tables!!
Thank you very much for your replies!

Are you also looking at the AFR.Adj item in the datalist?

The "afr adj" is pretty close to reality to tell you the truth!
But the lamda overlay tables use the "afr" values not the "afr adj"!
I can use the "afr adj" with the datalogs unless theres a way to use the "afr adj" at the lamda overlay tables!
Thank you !!!

I'll look into adding an option for that.
