Speedometer correction

Post by Tom »

I'm working on an EG civic,k20a2, 02-04 6-speed transmission.
Displayed speed on cluster is 5 mph too fast at 45 and 8-10 mph too fast at 60 mph (compaired to gps.)
I tried to enter and reflash a correction but, displayed speed maintains the same margin of error.
So, I think I'm doing something wrong.
I'm unsure of the proper format to enter the correction factor in the software? Do I incorporate a "-" symbol and, can I use decimals or only whole numbers, should I include a "%" in the text field?

02-04 transmissions run directly to the cluster.

Ok thanks. I'l check back in whenever I resolve the issue for the sake of others with the same problem.

You'll need an external converter box to convert the signal going from the transmission to the cluster inline. No ECU intervention takes place for 02-04 transmission wiring.
