Speedo calibration not working

Post by 11am »

Speedo at 30 mph, (actually doing 41 mph on gps)

When trying to calibrate through ktuner no changes are being made? What am I doing wrong?
Have tried 5, 10, 25 percent increases and nothing changs

Considering the Element doesn't have that option I'm assuming you're using the PRB Type-S codebase, which of course is not going to be correct for the Element. Changing the speedo calibration does in fact work if you have a transmission with a newer style sensor. There's one setting for the ECU and one for the cluster

If you have an older 02-04 transmission that runs straight to the cluster and the ECU has no control over it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don’t know the current base map I’m using. I believe it is a type s though, I had Tim at xact tune it. It is in fact a stock element transmission, 04. Is there a converter I can use to get it close to the correct speed?

Both corrections are by percentage. Correct until plausible match.
