Tunes "flashed" but still runs stock

I'm having some issues with my 2.0L CVT
The ECU number the Ktuner reads and the sticker on the ECU match, and I watched like 3 different people on youtube go through the installation process, following each of them carefully.
The Ktuner says that my tune has been applied however the car still runs as if it's on the factory tune, I've done this 3-4 times and each time it said the tune has been applied and it still runs stock.
Is there something wrong with my unit or am I missing something along the way?

If you uploaded to a tuning slot it's in a tuning slot. If you failed a flash and recovered that recovers you to factory. If you flashed successfully then what you flashed is on the ECU.
