Can I drive my car right away after installation?

So I'm getting my ktuner ECU installed onto my ECU and was wondering if I could drive my car before opening up the ktuner software and registering the ECU. If I can't do this can I just install the headers onto the ECU would I be able to drive right away then plug in the ktuner once I have time then use the software?
