Manual ecu on auto

I am trying to sell my ktuner end user Element ecu and a person interested has an auto. Can the manual ecu be used on an auto? I believe he can just piggyback his existing ecu

No, a manual ECU won't run an auto.

I am trying to unlock the ecu but it is not letting me. I retored to factory then did unlock ecu and nothing happens. What do i do?
