Good morning everyone!
So I have a 2021 Accord Touring 2.0T that I have a Phearable Stage 3 tune on with a V1.2 dongle. I used an older Surface Pro 4 to flash the car, and I watched it save the factory tune (but not sure if it's on the dongle or the PC). If I decide to upgrade the laptop, or reformat the Surface Pro 4, do I need to backup any files prior to that? What I don't want to happen is to lose my factory flash in case I need it (as I certainly don't want it, lol).
Thanks in advance.
Do I need to backup my factory tune with a laptop upgrade?
Re: Do I need to backup my factory tune with a laptop upgrade?
Factory softwares are built into the KTuner software.

When you say, “Factory softwares are built into the KTuner software” are you referring to the KTuner software on the laptop or it is saved on the V1.2 ODB Interface unit?
If the factory map/tune is saved on the ODB Interface, then when changing to a new laptop nothing needs to be done to still have future access to the factory tune, correct?
Or, if it is saved on the laptop, where is the file that would need to be moved to the new laptop to be able to flash back to factory from that new laptop? Nothing seems to be visible in the Tunes Folder where other map files are kept.
