Did I fry my ecu somehow?

Post by Hahnmower420 »

I’ve been running ktuner in a pnd ecu for about a year and I’ve had no issues with it, but I had my battery out for a couple days to throw my turbo kit on and repinned my cluster harness for a prelude cluster in my ek. When I put my battery back in I had no fuel pump prime. I tracked the problem to the ecu, where I found the ktuner board has a solid red led and flashing green, so no ecu communication. Install of the headers still look good, all solder joints are fine.

That certainly sounds like a possibility given what you've found. I'm assuming you're getting that LED status with key on and not USB.

Alright I think I’m gonna send my ecu back to hamotorsport and have them test it. If that ecu is junk and I can’t resflash it back to stock will I still be able to unlock my ktuner board from that ecu to put it in another ecu?

Only if the ECU is still functional enough to fully power on.

I found the issue. My tps and map sensor plugs were switched. Swapped them back and everything is working again
