I have 2017 1.5T CVT Non-Si
I have experienced a weird thing after enabling AKCR (Artificial Knock Control Rise) in Ktuner in all Maps (Starter 16.5, 18, 21, Dual Starter 21 Psi). while starting to drive smoothly coasting at 70 / 80 km/hr I saw the K cont going haywire from 0.49 shooting up to 1.02 and staying there for a while and than coming down to 0.89 staying there while the speed remained the same that is touch paddle .... Tried with Cruise C ON but found not coming down... Intercooler is PRL showing IAT1 41C & IAT2 48C on V2 . I pushed the car hard WOT and went to 170 from 80km/hr it came down to 0.66..... again i gave it another hard run and it went down to 0.55 than i drove it smooth and it comes to 0.49 and remained there...... It happened with me twice. Fuel being used is RON 97 ASEAN It looks to me that there is bug in the tune regarding this feature which needs to be addressed by Ktuner.

Before without enabling / previous soft version it used to rise above 5200 rpm but remained at max 0.70 (Base Map Starter 1 18 Psi)

The feature only disables artificial knock rise. Any other rise is real.

That i understand as being an Engineer.

Principally the real K Cont should be seen rising during WOT runs but in my case with smooth constant driving at economical speed it started to rise automatically, even creeping at low speeds too.... Whereas at WOT runs it comes down which is strange?

The sensor can hear noise at any time, actually, not just WOT. Nothing in the knock control functionality was altered in any way.

I am gonna revert back by disabling artificial knock rise elimination and come back with a feed back coz the sound to voltage transducer (Knock sensor) should not catch any audible freq during smooth vibration less drive.

Well, the feature only changes artificial knock rise above 5000 RPM, so it doesn't apply either way.

As a feedback i reverted back by enabling artificial knock rise and the anomaly is gone both in Starter 18psi and dual start 21psi. K Cont steady at 0.49. Fuel is 97 RON ASEAN, currently at Dual 21 base map.

Next time i ll come up with data log which will be helpful and a supportive feedback.

We have no plans to alter the tuning that has been out for multiple years, since we don't affect anything in that area of the tune anyway.
