Re: Aftermarket Wideband Input Questions

Any update or progress on this? If PTANK & ELD options were added to the graph-able parameters this would be immensely helpful for tuning! Not only for tuning, but would allow side-by-side comparison of OEM WB accuracy to aftermarket WB accuracy, for identifying where the OEM sensor's accuracy i...

Aftermarket Wideband Input Questions

If PTANK & ELD are the only input options for an aftermarket wideband signal, why are they not also included as available parameters to display in the data graphs or digital gauges? (I see ELD is available as a digital gauge, but neither are available for graphs) Can you add either to the graph ...

Re: ECU showing wrong gear?

Yes I gathered that, but what I am looking for is a solution. Before I adjusted the speedometer correction the calculated gear was logging correctly. Is the calculated gear based off the cluster speed or the ECU speed? I dont see a need for the ECU speed to be correct, but I do need the cluster spee...

ECU showing wrong gear?

Running the KTuner PRB base tune modified for my k24a4 + boost, and the calculated gear is wrong from 3rd gear thru 5th gear. If I look back at datalogs it shows 1st & 2nd as expected but then skips 3rd & goes straight to 4th gear, so all of my 3rd gear pulls show up as being in 4th gear. 4t...

Re: How to clear Lambda Overlay?

The playback trace is what I am talking about not matching the lambda overlay. Lambda overlay values are reasonably close to the wideband trace values around partial throttle driving (+/- 1.0 AFR), but as I transition into boost the difference between the values gets greater. My last run for example...

Re: How to clear Lambda Overlay?

One more Lambda overlay question. When I record a datalog with a power pull, the recorded Lambda overlay values are different than the AFR readings within the datalog recording. I can do a full ramp run & the lambda overlay shows 13.0 to 14.0 AFR in boost (telling me I should add lots of fuel), ...

Re: KTuner PRB hard to start

So how do I tune the interpolated areas when I have limited VTC tables to work with?

(Practical application of software question, not for tuning theory)

Re: KTuner PRB hard to start

I figured breaking out the various issues would make the info easier to find for others, but I can stop. I have gotten the cold start a little better by tweaking most of the ECT fueling tables to match the PZD values for the k24a4. It’s still slow to start with a longer than normal crank time, but i...

KTuner PRB hard to start

Trying again with the PRB as a base for my turbo k24a4, and so far I have it running incredibly well. Tuning is harder having only 2 VTC tables, but no more lean condition in boost and it cruises like a stock vehicle. Cold starting is difficult, seems like there isn’t enough fuel or ignition is over...
