turbo boost

I live at 6000 ft elevation. I don't understand why turbo boost is less at this elevation from sea level ?

It's not.

Looking up relative pressure vs absolute pressure would probably be what you need. If sea level is 0 and you're at -5 because you're at elevation, the turbo first must make up that 5 before absolute pressures above 0 are seen.

Sea Level - 15-0=15 Absolute/15 Relative to Atmospheric (0)
Elevation - 15-5=10 Absolute/15 Relative to Atmospheric (-5)

You're still creating 15psi pressures in both scenarios, but your lack of atmospheric pressure offsets the absolute pressure.

so as long as I am in the vicinity of 6000 ft elevation can I increase my absolute boost 5 psi more and have sea level performance ?

You can certainly raise boost to any level you want and overspin your turbo in the process.
