I tried enabling onboard logging - just chose 'always on'. With it enabled, the car cannot be driven.
Do I need to set specific values in the ECU settings and OnBoard Logging settings off the bat, or should it work with the default values already present?
As with the other posting, I can't add screenshots of the relevant windows using the forum upload feature. I'll add pics later.
To summarize, if I enable onboard logging, the engine will bog as soon as a load is placed on it. Will idle fine.

The unit doesn't alter vehicle function in any way, whether logging or not.

It's odd then, because as soon as I turned it back off, normal operation was resumed.

Correct. It already has the data through datalogging, which is the same data relayed to the PC when connected. There's nothing sent the other way.
