TunerView for Android periodically not connecting
Hi, I have a KTuner 2 in a Honda Civic Si 2018. I have it automatically start via Honda Hack pro so it always starts the Tunerview immediately after starting the car. Every few days at random, after I start the car, the TunerView doesn't connect to bluetooth. The KTuner doesn't show up in the TunerView connection menu even after searching. To remedy, I have to close TunerView, disconnect the KTuner from OBD2, wait a few seconds, reconnect, wait a few seconds, open TunerView and then it automatically connect as usual. Is there a solution to keep it from disconnecting?
Re: TunerView for Android periodically not connecting
The unit needs to be running and connected to the ECU in order to receive a connection. Perhaps it's simply "too soon" on occasion.
Re: TunerView for Android periodically not connecting
When Android Auto is running Tuner View has difficulty staying connected. Eventually it stays connected, but it's very frustrating. If phone isn't plugged in, no problems.
Re: TunerView for Android periodically not connecting
That has nothing to do with our app and everything to do with the head unit.

That head unit is like a 10 year old android phone.

The android OS on the headunit is quite different from what you see on an android phone.jokacz wrote:That head unit is like a 10 year old android phone.

I was referring to the slow, under powered hardware.Linszter wrote:The android OS on the headunit is quite different from what you see on an android phone.jokacz wrote:That head unit is like a 10 year old android phone.

It definitely is.
Re: TunerView for Android periodically not connecting
FWIW I've discovered that if I start TunerView first and then connect a phone, all is good. Android Auto and Tunerview both run fine and I can switch between them. If the phone is connected first, TunerView disconnects after a few seconds.
