K24Z2 ECU

Post by Brothasit »

So I'm about to swap a K24Z2 motor from a 2010 Honda Accord LX into my 2009 Honda Fit and I need to know what ECU should I purchase. What's the difference between the "37820-r40-a20"s vs the "37820-r40-a30"s? I know the 20s are off the 2010 and the 30s are from 2011-2012 but does it make a difference of which ecu to go with? Oh and the trans I'm using is off the 8th gen civic si so I know for sure I need a ktuner flash.

We do not know what issues you'll run into with your swap attempt. The ECU choice will be up to you entirely. See wiring diagrams for differences. You'll be able to sync immobilizer since the Fit also has the system.

KTuner will not fix the transmission being off.

So I can't recalibrate the ecu with ktuner to compensate the gear ratio versus the stock?

That's not mentioned in the feature set for that ECU type.

Hhmmm....I guess I have to re-evaluate on purchasing a software that's capable in tuning my setup. Thanks for the input!

After evaluating other people who swapped a kseries into their Fit, I will be using ktuner v1.2 since they used your product on their project. One of them told me Ktuner is working on adding a reverse lockout to an ECU that do not have reverse lockout. Is this possible?

We have a reverse lockout box, perhaps that's what they're talking about.

Can you elaborate what's this lockout box is? I'm going to use a k24z2 accord ecu and engine harness which does not have a reverse lockout connector. I was planning on wiring the reverse lockout solenoid to a manual switch but if ktuner is capable on programming a reverse lock out option I would like to know what pin I need to pin into.

It's an external box that controls the reverse lockout solenoid.
