05 Honda element with tsx engine swap need help with base ma

Post by Mrfresco779 »

I just swapped my 05 mt element motor with a 08 tsx motor. Im using ktuner end user. I cant find a base map to run on the element ecu. Can i use the rsx base map until i get tuned? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's going to be full custom tuning. Set VTEC to a higher RPM and cruise it to your tuner, or find an e-tuner like Derek @ Innovative Motorworks or Kenny at TurbogixxerTuning.

Have you tried the PRB TSX swap1 tune? Might require a little tweaking to the settings inside, but it should be set to run the motor in it's stock form.

(I just used a PRB tune in an Element PZD ECU without trouble)

I would expect that would work, but didn't want to recommend mixing codebases!

Greetings Everyone,

I have an 2006 Element and putting a JDM K24A in with KTuner. What wiring changes do I have to make to make the vtech work? Do I have to repin any connectors. This is my first honda tinkering so please reply like I am a novice. I am a experienced mechanic just not Hondas.

Thanks,
Jeff

I wouldn't imagine so, but I'd recommend viewing the pinouts between the two.
