TypeR tuning overview

Post by mladjan »

Hi guys,

are you planning doing some videos about fk8 tuning?
Help files are missing most of the data. Tables are not described. I would love to understand which table does what, and what are the best practices for tuning a car. Ok, it's cool to upload predefined tune, but I would like to be able to improve these tunes. In Europe we have on every pump 100 octane fuel, there is a lot of ignition which can be added to gain power.

Questions I have right now:
1. There are 4 ignition advance tables. What is a difference between them?
2. Best practices for tuning fuel. Are we using MAF correction tables?
3. What exactly can be different between modes? I see demand tables, but not sure will lower demand require lower ignition? I would like to have ignition retarded tables in comfort mode and the most aggressive ignition in R mode.

Thx in advance.

Intake min and max. Exhaust (outlet) min and max.
It is a MAF application with air/fuel targets. Any way you need to.
Less demand means less boost and less output. That lands you on different areas of the ignition maps anyway. There are no specific ignition maps for any of the modes. They're based on air charge.

Thx. One more question:

I have Europe car. If I return it to factory, which tune I will get? Tune you got from US ecu or tune you got from EU ecu? Will be a difference in power?

You get the exact factory tune for your ECU.
