Steering Torque question

Post by gripworks »

My new Accord should be delivered in the next two weeks, at which point I will be adding KTuner to my tool box. I am also planning on adding Open Pilot (a better autopilot than the stock LKAS). One of the know issues with open pilot and the Honda accord is that the steering actuator isn't powerful enough to hold freeway corners at full speed. On other makes of cars this can be modified at the CAN bus level however from what I can tell Honda has stopped any torque changes over CAN at the ECU level. Is there any chance that KTuner would be able to increase the max torque of the steering actuators? This won't influence my purchase of KTuner, however there is a pretty large community of Open Pilot users that might become KTuner customers if it were possible. Thank you for your time.

A separate module controls this and would need to be flashed separately. Currently we only offer ECU flashing, but who knows what the future holds!
