Unable to unlock

I follow the instructions to unlocked my ktuner from my civic, is successful but I get a U0301 software mismatch

If you setup a V2 before you went in for updates or if you failed a flash on a V1.2 and recovered you may be returning to the wrong software.

On a V1.2 flash to the correct software tune in the list then return to factory.

On a V2 flash to the correct software, then clear tunes and plug the unit into the software again to set up the factory tune with the correct version. Flash to factory on the unit. Unlock.

I have v1.2
reflashed to stock and its good but the unlocked is grey out, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting but still grey out.

I know there is a reset to factory settings ECU but if I do that it will give me again the 0301

If you flashed to the correct version and the code is gone, return to factory from the tools menu as stated.
