Disable o2 Sensors to Prevent Cel with PCDs

Post by JDMClark »

Obviously we need them for the car to run well but the secondary o2 sensors that are mounted after the flow of the catalytic Convertors, we don't need then more than likely. Even with defoulers on then I've been told it still trips the cel light occasionally. I'm about to install my pcd and would like to see if you guys could add a feature to disable those specific o2 sensors. Thanks.

With the defoulers properly set it shouldn't trip it. We haven't had a car with a code for a long enough period to track down any individual codes beyond what's available.

There's a lot of us in Our8thGens experiencing this issue
Even with them setup correctly occasionally they would come on for a bit this go off. I've yet to install mine but alot of people have seen them come on if they beat on it a little.

Well darn it looks like you apparently can disable those sensors. In the disables/monitors tab you can disable secondary o2 sensors (p0141).

That covers the sensor codes, not the catalyst codes.

Yeah I havent even got it on yet kinda hit a snag on money and parts. Bought pcd and j pipe second hand and needed the hardware. I've got mostly everything but having trouble with something else. Here soon I'll put it on and give you an update on whether or not it trips the o2 sensor.
