20 Degree cam angle on K24A4

Post by RABOOST »

OK we have established that the K24A4 is limited to only 20 degree cam angle, when tuning using the Ktuner software do we do adjustments using the 30 degree cam angle fuel and ignition tables since Im using the PRB Forced induction base code?

When using the K24a4 base code it shows 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 cam angles. But with the PRB base code for boosted application it does not have the 20 Degree cam angle. It skips from 0, 15, 30, 40 and 50 cam angle and totally skips the 20 degree. I hope this makes sense. If I want to tune 20 degree cam angle do I lock the cam angle tables to all 20 degree and then adjust the 30 degree cam angle table so that it will basically interpolate between 20 and 30 degree?

Basically what I want to know is what cam angle from the drop down menu do I use when 20 degree is not an option under the PRB base code drop down menu???

BTW Im also limiting the cam angle to 23 Degrees on the software before a check engine light comes on.

They're interpolated so 15 and 30 will be used.

Thanks that's what I thought. What I actually did was lock cam table to 20 degree's then added 20% to the entire low cam fuel table of the 30 degree cam angle drop down menu and it did make the fuel very rich at part throttle indicating that 30 degree drop down menu is used for tuning 20 degree cam angle of the K24A4. ;)
