DC2 with k24a2 starting problem

Post by Jpaixao3 »

I just finished my k24a2 swap into my 1998 acura integra. After diagosing a ground issue, i got the car started. Hooked up my radatior fan (so i could add coolant and bleed system) and wide band 02. At first it would try to crank over and now the starter just clicks but no crank over. Ive tried re uploading the tune with still no luck. Im running Ktuner R1. Please help, im losing my mind.

Sounds like an issue with your starter, grounding/wiring, or battery. Zero to do with tuning.

I can't imagine you did a DBW swap, but if you did kudos to you. If not, you either have the wrong ECU or are using the wrong codebase... The swap codebase is clearly outlined as the RSX/PRB. You may have other issues on top of it.

lol i did not. I am running a PRB-A13 ecu. I purchased the whole setup from JHPUSA. like i stated before the car started no problem multiple times. I disconnected the ecu and the battery to do my fan wiring reconnected and nothing.

Also, after looking into the Ktuner software, i found the list of reflashes on my unit. Is there anyway i can re upload that flash? i know that was the last tune that the car was running on

If you saved the file simply open it. If you did not save the file I suggest doing so from now on. You should be starting with the PRB codebases, not the drive by wire ones.

So today, I go outside. Ecu hooked up to laptop but laptop not even unlocked. Haven’t changed anything on my Ecu since last post. Turn the key for ha ha’s, fires right up. Ignition switch? Like stated before, fired up the car a couple times previous to wiring. Reversed all wiring, no crank and start, just click. Turned the car off back to clicking.

Possible. We had to run our own wiring to the starter on our DC2-R.

Im assuming when you say wiring to the starter, a push button start type deal where your tapping into the signal wire? im leaning towards this way just because i saved the file and it literally starts when it wants.

Thank you
