k24z3 using 05-06 ecu

I am swapping in a k24z3 into an eg, using 05-06 ecu. The harness and engine will be modified to work correctly but my only question is with the 05-06 ecu read the crank trigger from the new engines properly or will I have to swap in a trigger wheel and sensor to match the ecu that is being used?

They use the same sensors.

They may use the same sensor, I actually looked up the pin out in a wiring diagram quick and it was the same pin positions.
The trigger wheels are different for the sensors.

Others are running that engine with our ECU. I do not know what was involved other than swapping the DBW throttle body to cable.

That is what I needed to know then. The increase in resolution is working ok.

Ok, got some feedback that it will not work as direct bolt in because of the pattern difference. Sorry, I have no experience with that engine outside of the intended Accord chassis with factory ECU.

That's not something I'm going to pursue in software at this time.
