I’m trying to set up my ktuner for the first time followed the directions online but when I open up the software keeps telling me invalid user ID don’t know what’s going on and any help would be grateful thank you

That means you entered details, then quit the application, and then relaunched it, so it's trying to login with the information you entered previously. Click the help button on the left and follow directions.
