Ktuner v2 VCM compatibility

Post by rays.j35 »

Hello,

I have a 2012 accord v6 5at (j35z2) and I was looking into purchasing a Ktuner v2 to get the most out of some mods. Right now i just have a takeda sri, magnaflow cbe, and was looking into purchasing rv6 jpipe and pcd.

My main question is can Ktuner disable VCM? From what I read it's not 100% at bypassing VCM... Right now I have the VCM Tuner II which disables VCM by plugging into the ect1 sensor, by tricking the sensor into reading a lower temp than regular and therefore eco mode never turns on. I've been using it for a year now and I've seen eco mode pop up twice for split seconds so it works just about 99% of the time...

Can Ktuner work with with this VCM tuner plugged into the ect1 sensor or would there be any issues?

We don't list that as an option on the website.

Your item will function no different.

Thanks. I saw on some forum threads how there, at least used to be, a VCM disable option on Ktuner.

There is a checkbox and while stays off we never could confirm it fully disabled it.
