I got a 2012 civic si I recently looked up your website for nearby dealers got in touch with one there is only 3 in california 1 is to far and 1 has a wait list so.i went with who was available he gave me a dealer flash a few days ago as I was driving yesterday my car shut off mid drive and turned itself back on. Can you tell me if this would have anything to do with the flash

There is no scenario where a flash would cause a shut off mid drive. If you have parts that are throwing off fueling like an aftermarket intake system it may run out of spec, but would much more likely result in an error code before a shut down.
