Out of curiosity, is there a timeline when the update will roll out?

I see the V2 unit powers off automatically ~15-20 seconds after shutting the car off. But I notice it does not turn back on automatically when the car is started without unplugging and plugging it back in. Is this right, or is there a setting I missed during initial set up?
